  3. Training has begun!

I commenced training this afternoon, though not yet in the dress, by starting out with some moderate-effort laps of Lake Wendouree in Ballarat, with my goal being a distance of at least 25kms.

The breeze was a little bit stiff, and Lake Wendouree sports some pretty thick clouds of bugs at this time of day — protein!! — but the view was magnificent. My legs feel a bit wobbly and I’ve got a very sore rear, but I’m proud to have ‘officially’ started training.
